AAALLLright

SO I haven't blogged in awhile. I should make it a more common occurrence but who reads this thing anyway?

I've been SUPER busy setting up my classroom. After Evan and i got home from Puerto Rico (see my travel blog soon) it's been a whirlwind of meetings, curriculum & setting up posters. I don't there's a such a thing as DONE when you're teacher but I've finally reached a happy place where I can clam down. Especially since I found out I can procrastinate on taking the Praxis 2 for a few more months. Yes I already took the Praxis 1 but Alpine School District has special rules because they're fabulous & I now have to take the second Praxis to renew my license. Even though the state of Utah exempts me from this. How fun.

Evan an dI have also been putting in our own sprinklers. WHile most people got to BBQ and camp for Labor day I was out digging trenches in the hot sun & gluing pipe together. But what a sense of accomplishment! WE did that! (With a lot of help but still)

I also finally know where my book is going. I typed out the entire outline last night. Oh joy! Now I just need to write it-- I have about 20 pages Times New Roman, typed in word, font size 12,--- find a good editor who won't steal my stuff & find someone who'll publish it for me- um, for free & then will pay me royalties. I plan on being the next JK Rowling or Stephanie Meyer. I think it sounds like fun. Plus I think my story is good.

Anywho. that's what I've been up to. Now my next plan is to organize my art room --- but that costs money so I've got to wait a bit.

PS getting rid of prep period for an extra 1/8th of my salary... not sure if it's worth it. I'll let ya know at the end of the month when I finally see that large paycheck. :)

Au Revoir! (also I've been using Rosetta Stone to bruch up on my French. I'm hoping Evan does an internship there next SUMMER (not spring honey- SUMMER--- can't do that again!)
